How To Add repositories in Linux Ubuntu- Tutorial with Images

Just follow these way, you will get to know how to add repositories in Linux Ubuntu.

Method 1: Using Synaptic
1. To Open Synaptic Package manager go to System--->Administration--->Synaptic package manager. You will have to provide administrator password to open this.
2. The interface of Synaptic looks like this image below. (May be a little different for other version of Ubuntu, but it doesn't matter.)
3. Select Settings -> Repositories as in the image above.
4. Software Source window will be shown like this image:
5. Now if you click on Third party tab you can enter third Party repositories and cdrom repositories here.
 6. If you want to add new source click on add you should see the following screen here you need to enter your source and click on add source.

7. After finishing all your settings you need to click on close once you click on close.you should see the following screen with the information saying you need to click on reload button to take effects of your new settings.
 8. Click Close and click Reload button ....
9. Now just sit down and wait for Ubuntu updating packages.

It is finished now. May be for other version of Ubuntu, the interface may change slightly different, but these steps still be the same.
